National Young Investor Challenge

Discover and learn about the basics of investing.

The National Young Investor Challenge is a free, hands-on investment competition designed to give students real-world experience in a fun and practical way. Participants work in teams of three to four, guided by a teacher as their advisor, and use an online stock market simulator to practise investing without real risk involved.

New to investment? This is your first step to learn more about investment and how to make informed financial decisions.

For highschool students, you will receive PAJSK marks.

You develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills.

You will learn more about investing concepts such as diversification, risk mitigation and company analysis.

Phase 1: Registration

Students can register in a team of 3-4 people from the same institution. Don’t forget to create an InvestLab account as well!

Phase 2: Preparation

During 8 weeks, participants will build a portfolio by buying and selling stocks and bonds according to their strategy.

Phase 3: Trading

After registering, participants can check our online course, take a look at the case study, and start devising an investment strategy to win. Be creative!

Phase 4: Final Report

After trading, there is one week to create a final report outlining their portfolio and strategy. Recommended to start creating the report earlier during trading phase. Full report guidelines can be accessed here.

Phase 5: Final Round

Top 10 teams from each category will be selected based on their investment returns and strategy. They will then present to a panel of judges in KYUEM.
